Trustees
All Citizens Advice Bureau are independent charities governed by their own board of trustees, who are ultimately responsible for the quality and range of services. As a trustee you would:-
  • Plan, manage and support the strategic direction of the bureau
  • Ensure the bureau meets the needs of the local community and Citizens Advice membership standards
  • Act as an employer for paid staff
  • Manage the bureau finances
  • Ensure the bureau complies with relevant laws
Bureau trustee boards need people from all sections of the community with a wide range of different skills, experience and perspectives. In addition to the general duties detailed above, some trustees will also be officers of the board and will have additional responsibilities such as Chair, Vice-chair, Treasurer and Secretary.
