Advocates
Advocates work hands on, supporting people in Trafford to tackle barriers they are facing, and take positive steps forward to manage and feel in control of their own lives.

Advocates work one-to-one with clients talking about the problems they have, and talk about ways around them.

Advocates might provide practical help in managing everyday tasks, and also exploring opportunities available to them which improves their well being.

As an advocate you would:
  • Work one-to-one with a client
  • Explore the client’s issues and situation
  • Agree how you're going to work together
  • Keep in touch with clients to see how their getting on.
You need to
  • Be good at listening and supporting someone
  • Be patient, approachable and reliable
  • Be open minded and non-judgemental
  • Enjoy meeting new people
