IT Support Volunteers
A wide range of our essential work depends on well-run IT systems.
We use them for keeping track of cases, keeping in touch with clients, accessing e-services and monitoring trends. There are a variety of areas you may get involved in, depending on your skills and the time you have. As an IT co-ordinator you would:
  • Support bureau workers including staff and volunteers
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems
  • Install and modify hardware and software
  • Maintain and develop networks
  • Design databases and websites
Assist with e-mail advice Personal skills / knowledge that IT Support Co-ordinators need:
  • Microsoft operating systems
  • PC hardware and peripherals
  • Diagnostic tools and online monitoring software
  • Good interpersonal skills
