Campaigners
Campaigners or Social Policy Co-ordinators use information from problems brought to the bureau by clients, to help to bring about real change by influencing local and national policies. This benefits everyone - even those who have never used a Citizens Advice Bureau.

As a campaigner you would:

• Complete and collate evidence forms recording clients problems
• Monitor trends in bureau enquiries, to identify issues for potential local or national issues
• Train staff and volunteers in identifying issues and completing evidence forms
• Conduct research and write reports on local issues
• Get involved in media campaigning
• Liaise with other bureaux and agencies to provide a voice for clients

Personal skills and qualities that a campaigner needs:

• Understanding of key current social issues and potential impact on Citizens Advice service
• Ability to give feedback clearly and sensitively
• Good report-writing skills
• Ability to work constructively with other agencies
• Ability and willingness to work as part of a team
